Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery is Minnesota’s newest farm winery. Our vineyard and winery sits on the right bank of the creek we take our name from in Kasota, Minnesota. Chankaska is a native Dakota Indian name meaning forest-enclosed and vineyard visitors will delight in the natural setting of our southern Minnesota River Valley. Hand-crafted, Chankaska Wines’ artisan winemaking techniques ensure a transformation from hearty grapes on the vine to a flavorful wine experience. Enjoy.

LocAle is the culmination of many years of brewing, tasting, traveling, brainstorming & learning. It was started by Lauren & Jim Parejko; two Midwesterners that had a vision to open a small neighborhood brewery & taproom to bring fresh craft beer to Downtown Mankato. That vision started in the spring of 2018 with renovations to the former Snell Quick Lube building & came to life in the fall of 2018 with the opening of the taproom. Our aim is to serve a wide range of approachable beer styles in the taproom including crisp lagers, roasty porters & stouts, juicy pale ales, tart & fruity barrel-aged sours & hefty barrel-aged strong ales. The name ‘LocAle’ embodies our commitment to using Midwest ingredients in many of our beers to give them a sense of place. This sense of place is also reflected in our logo which celebrates the historic return of bison to the local prairie at Minneopa State Park.
