While those of us in Greater Mankato have experienced strong economic growth over the past few years, things aren’t as great as they would appear in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. That is the opinion of former Department of Commerce chief economist Joseph Kennedy, who authored a report for the Center of the American Experiment, a Minnesota-based think-tank that concludes Minnesota has had “average at best” economic growth the last 15 years. This luncheon forum will highlight the key findings of the report, titled "Minnesota's Economy: Mediocre Performance Threatens The State's Future" and prompt discussion on causes and solutions to Minnesota's alleged economic doldrums. You’ll want to take this opportunity to attend and join in this important discussion.

This forum will take place at the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association located at 151 St. Andrews Court, Suite 710 in Mankato.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 am and the program begins at 12:00 pm.
