Woller Photography is located on a farm just outside of Mankato, Minnesota in the hayloft of a century barn that has been converted into a studio by owner/photographer Denice Woller. Portrait artistry is her life. For nearly 25 years Denice has worked as a professional portrait artist. Her passion is documenting Rural Americans in their natural habitats so that they can pass along their legacies to future generations. She is also obsessed with senior portraits and the creativity she is able to express with each student. One day, the teens she works with will want to pass along their legacies to future generations, and she believes nothing marks the start of that journey like a senior portrait. Denice also specialized in destination photography for both the Legacy and Senior experiences, so be sure to ask her about what this means and where it could potentially take you!
While a student at Bethany Lutheran College Denice utilized her photographic talents and graduated with an AA degree in 1997. She became Editor-In-Chief of The Exponent newspaper at Montana State University, Bozeman and she also earned a degree in Media and Theater Arts from there in 2002. In 2006, she earned an MA degree in Studio Art from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
In addition to running her studio, Denice continues to raise her four children, has worked as a photojournalist for newspapers and a variety of magazines, and since 2002 has been an adjunct Professor of Photography and Journalism at Bethany Lutheran College.
