Moulin Rouge House B&B

I can't say enough good things about this place. We absolutely loved it. So quaint and charming and an easy walk from several restaurants downtown. The gourmet four-course breakfast was so delicious and beautifully presented and we enjoyed visiting with the other guests.

Out of all the houses in Minnesota, this one is my favorite. Formerly the Hunt House, this renovated B&B is filled with charm, light, and thoughtful touches. I found this spot randomly when I came to Mankato for my birthday, and couldn't be happier. Breakfast is always delicious, and owners are experienced hospitality folk who go above & beyond to take care of their guests.

I stayed in the Free Press Room, and my one friend who was visiting home also took a staycation and occupied the Worlds Fair room next door. Both were very comfortable, tastefully decorated, had an Google Home thingy that we learned to use . Plus, lovely bath products. They have recently added a second house for large group stays, which is a great option for "spillage" during larger family events (Ie, weddings, reunions, family vacations). Thank you for a wonderful stay, and keep up the great work!

Thank you Chris and Kristin for restoring this beautiful historical home ! I used to walk by this condemned home and just sigh.... although it had been abandoned and partially destroyed, it's exterior beauty could not be diminished. I took a pre-renovation tour years ago and recently returned for a pre=holiday get together with college roomies. I am astounded at the hundreds of historically accurate details they painstakingly were able to recreate. (Wisely they took some liberties with comfort -- as the king and queen beds are very cozy :) Awesome stay, great breakfast, great location --walkable to downtown plus history museum, Betsy-Tacy houses, Hubbard House. Sibley park one mile away, Minnesota State Mankato just up the hill... Owners are wonderful. Detailed and timely communication, yet not intrusive. Will be back again.

I enjoyed my stay in Mankato at Moulin Rouge. They were so accommodating to my needs - I was there for work on a weekend and they made sure I got coffee and breakfast. It's a delightful place, warm people, and great location!

Kristin and Chris did such a fabulous job with this house! And they are wonderful hosts. The room was pristine and had everything we needed. The breakfast on Sunday was AMAZING - so good! Thank you both for a great visit to my hometown. We'll definitely be back :)

We did a spur of the moment trip to Mankato with our best friends. We could not have chosen a better place to stay Chris and Kristin were so accommodating and gracious! We truly enjoyed our stay in their beautiful B&B. The hospitality was top notch along with the awesome accommodations! We will be back!

Beautifully restored Victorian home. We had a great stay. Walking distance to downtown restaurants.
