I had a similar experience was shuffled to three different rooms told I needed x rays which was going to cost over $200 I've been to many chiropractors and never had to get x rays. He adjusted me with the activator tool. And said I needed to come 3 times a week. Not worth the money to especially with not getting a real adjustment.

An absolute smoke in the mirror chiropractic office. I was charged $165 in my first visit when the chiropractor stated that I needed an X-ray before he could do an adjustment. Spent over an hour and a half moving from room to room and the adjustment took about 1 minute using an activator tool with no muscle relaxing techniques. He said it will take about 8-12 weeks with 3-4 adjustments per week to have a 2% reduction in pain. I was extremely disappointed and left with the same amount of pain and sick to my stomach for the $165 charge. I recommend not using this chiropractor as they are only in it for a heavy initial charge and soaking customers for years.
